... how much I love PBS? Now that I have the PBSHD channel hooked up I spend at least a couple of hours a day watching documentaries. I'm a nerd that way... always loved history, etc. So anyway, for the past 4 Summers I've looked forward to the History Detectives. The premise of this program is simple. Someone finds an object, guesses where it came from and the detectives set about researching if it's authentic or not. Anything from a possible Civil War gun to an early ad for Coke is up for grabs. The real fun is the actual process of research and places they go to that just sucks me into watching. Besides all the education available to absorb... I also happen to think one of the 4 hosts, Elyse Luray is totally hot! O.K. I'm the first one to admit that she's easy on the eyes... but the real clincher is that she's smart! Always been a sucker for brainiac women. Who said it was a crime to be turned-on while one was being educated? Perhaps if that was the actual thrust of the educational policy the drop-out rate would fall.
